Townsend’s own career is particularly interesting because he did not follow the most predictable route into acting. Instead he explored education and other interests before committing himself to performance. That change eventually opened the door to professional acting and modelling.
Brodie Townsend’s Early Life
Brodie Townsend was born on June 23, 1997 in Perth Western Australia. He grew up in Australia and later moved toward a career that combined performance with fashion and screen work. IMDb identifies Perth as his birthplace and confirms that acting became his professional focus.

His Education and Academic Journey
Townsend’s education is one of the more interesting parts of his background. Public biographies state that he studied at the University of Western Australia and Willamette University in Oregon before completing training at the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney. IMDb specifically lists all three institutions in his background.
What School Did Brodie Townsend Go To?
This question needs a little clarification because reliable public sources do not clearly identify his secondary school. What they do document is his university and acting education. He studied at the University of Western Australia and Willamette University before attending NIDA. He completed his NIDA training in 2019.
His Move Into Acting
Townsend’s professional path shows that careers can change direction. Rather than staying with an academic route he became increasingly interested in acting. His training at NIDA gave him a stronger foundation for stage and screen performance. From there he began building professional credits and eventually landed the role that would bring him a much wider audience.
Brodie Townsend in Heartbreak High
For many viewers the name Brodie Townsend is closely connected with Heartbreak High. He plays Anthony “Ant” Vaughn in the Netflix series. The character combines humour with a more caring side which gives Townsend room to show more than simple comic timing. IMDb lists Townsend as Ant across the series from 2022 through 2026.
Why Ant Vaughn Became Important to His Career
Playing Ant allowed Townsend to reach an international streaming audience. Heartbreak High introduced him to viewers well beyond Australia and helped establish him as a recognizable young actor. His performance also connected him with a large ensemble cast which included actors such as Asher Yasbincek and Ayesha Madon.
Other Acting Credits
Although Heartbreak High remains his best-known project Townsend has also appeared in other productions. IMDb credits him as Lucas in the television series Significant Others. He also appeared as Jesse in the short Infinit3. His listed projects show that his career has gradually expanded beyond one television role.
Brodie Townsend and Modelling

Some entertainment websites list Townsend at around 5 feet 9 inches (1.77 metres), while another recent biography lists him at 6 feet 4 inches (193 centimetres). Because these figures conflict and a reliable official source does not appear to confirm one measurement it is safer not to present either number as definite.
Brodie Townsend’s Personal Life
Townsend generally keeps his private life away from the centre of his public career. Some entertainment sources have reported that he previously dated actor and model Mia Healey. However current relationship information is not consistently documented by primary sources. Therefore claims about his present relationship status should be treated cautiously.
His Growing Public Profile
Townsend’s popularity has grown alongside Heartbreak High. His public profile now covers acting fashion and social media. At the same time he has maintained a relatively low-key approach to personal details. That balance allows audiences to follow his professional work without every part of his private life becoming public.
What Makes His Career Interesting?
Perhaps the most interesting part of Townsend’s story is the change in direction. He did not simply begin acting as a child and follow one obvious path into television. Instead his education and interests took him through different areas before acting became the main focus. That experience gives his career a sense of progression rather than an overnight success story.
Clearing Up the Name Confusion
It is also worth noting that Brodie Townsend is not the only person with that name. Search results also show a Brodie Townsend who played baseball at Foley High School in Alabama and later attended the University of West Alabama. That athlete’s profile is separate from the Australian actor. The baseball profile lists him at around 6 feet 2 inches while Baseball-Reference records his college career at West Alabama.
